Ibn Battuta Mall expands with four new big names stores open for business
UAE. Nakheel Retail, the owners of Ibn Battuta Mall and Dragon Mart, today announced the opening of four new household name stores at Ibn Battuta Mall. New Look, @Home, Shoemart and Borders are all now open for business.
The new outlets offer shoppers increased choice and variety, with extra big name brands providing an added attraction for shoppers and offering a greater range of fashion, home wares and books and magazines than ever before.
Bernice Boshoff, General Manager, Ibn Battuta Mall commented: “We are delighted to announce that four new stores are now open for business at Ibn Battuta Mall. These big name additions provide an even greater draw for our regular customers, and further enhance the Ibn Battuta shopping experience.
“With more than ever on offer, we are continuing to grow and attract customers. We’ve already seen an increase in footfall in 2009, and with the Cirque du Soleil’s AlegrÃa here from 5 March, there’s never been a better time to come to Ibn Battuta.”
With the nearby Discovery Gardens residential development well underway, the opening of new stores is being driven by increased customer demand, the company said.
The mall has already got off to a great start in 2009, it reported. January and the beginning of the Dubai Shopping Festival saw a recorded 10% increase in footfall over the same January 2008.
Nakheel Retail said it is committed to its regular customers, and will erect a temporary car-park to cater for the expected increased footfall expected during March.
